Hello everyone,

I am interested in a prefabricated house from the year 1978. As is known, these are mostly contaminated with pollutants, as is the case here.

Today the measurement results came back and unfortunately did not yield anything too good. Simply put, I have "fallen in love" with the house and have already planned everything "how/what/where," but with the measurement values, I am now not quite sure how "bad" they really are.

Please help me to better assess these. Notable values (above limit 2) are:

    [*]Lindan 0.56 (limit 2 is 0.50)
    [*]Pentachlorophenol 3.1 (PCP, limit 2 is 1)
    [*]Naphthalene 0.41 (limit 2 is 0.2)

For a layperson like me, this initially sounds "not serious," but since I have read that this is not necessarily a quantitative but rather an "There is something there, so it's bad!" result, I am a bit overwhelmed.

I would really appreciate your experiences/opinions. Thanks in advance!

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of the WHO classified lindane in 2015 as "carcinogenic to humans" (Group 1). It should be noted that PCP is usually contaminated with dioxins due to manufacturing,[12] whose toxicity can exceed that of PCP depending on the level of contamination. (both Wiki) Even if there may be no immediate danger here, I would not want to live in it....
