Hello everyone. I have a question for you experts again. It’s about our interior window sills. Not really a difficult topic in itself. However, we are currently converting an old cattle barn into a residential house and do not have the usual construction setup.
The construction from the outside is as follows:
Brick
Cavity
Calcium silicate wall 24 cm
Insulation
New aerated concrete interior wall
How can I create a proper straight support? I have attached a photo. It is a deep window. For the tall windows, I also have the additional problem that the insulation is of course not Styrodur but Isover thermal insulation and naturally not load-bearing. Furthermore, we still have to bridge a few centimeters from the new interior wall to the bottom edge of the window. A strip of aerated concrete must probably be glued there, right?
I look forward to your answers.
