Interior door paint

we have interior doors in white. I have now noticed that on one door about 0.5-1 cm of the paint is missing. I don’t see any external impact because the spot is smooth and you can simply see the brown underlying layer. If it were an external impact, for example, you would have seen a "dent."

Now a stupid question, it’s a new building and 1 year after moving in. Do you claim something like this? After all, the doors were very expensive. Probably poorly painted in some spots.

*Before* you start the "repair," go the correct way first!

Take pictures of the damaged door (you should now, of course, check all the interior doors carefully) and send them along with an explanatory cover letter to your provider with a request for remediation. Ideally with a deadline of 4 weeks; there is no imminent danger that would require a shorter deadline. He will probably send his door manufacturer to you to rule out external fault (which will probably be difficult 1 year after moving in).

You have to know that your provider has the right to "repair"; I don’t see 0.5 - 1 cm as a defect in the classical sense. The door manufacturer will then—if it is determined that this is a material defect—repair the damaged spot. Only if the repaired spot *should* come off again—which I hope it doesn’t—will he, in my opinion, agree to provide you with a new door panel.
