Hello dear ones,

We have wireless switches for light and blinds in our new building, which are controlled via eltako relays. Now I know that these switches or the entire setup can somehow be integrated into the network. The question is just how and which components are needed for that?

Can someone possibly help me with this?

Regards
Tobi

You need a higher-level instance such as openhab, iobroker, etc. which then manages your switches and other components.

What would be best there when considering price/performance?

Do you use any wired standard like KNX? If not, you can take a look at ready-made gateways like Zipabox + EnOcean extension or the mediola gateway. Homee (or Afriso) would probably be my personal favorite, but I believe they currently (still) don't have Eltako on their compatibility list.

If you want to tinker, a Raspberry Pi with appropriate software (called Mycraft) also works.

Edit:

In terms of price/performance, I would say a Raspberry Pi with EnOcean extension and free software like openhab or iobroker. Ready-made gateways cost 200 euros and up.

Because I plan to do the same, but on several floors (thanks to concrete): what would be the cheapest EnOcean Gateway – so no logic, just forwarding to the central HomeAssistant server?

Probably an EnOcean repeater like the Eltako FRP70V.
