Hello,

- Situation:
The membrane of my Maxivarem ls 100 expansion tank is defective and I want to replace it. I have already installed the replacement membrane in the tank. The replacement membrane has an opening at both the top and the bottom. The water connection is attached at the bottom end, and a closure cap is placed at the top end.

- Question:
When I put pressure back on the line, should I first leave the top cap open until the air inside the membrane has escaped, or do I close the top opening from the beginning? If I do not keep the cap open, what is the purpose of the top opening at all? In that case, one could just as well manufacture a membrane with only one opening. Is the top opening only there so that a pressure gauge can be connected?

Thank you very much
