Installation of ESBE VAT320/VAT322 Domestic Water Mixing Valve

Hello everyone,

a domestic hot water mixer was installed in my system according to the following scheme. In my opinion, this is not entirely correct (according to the VTA322 manual). Among other things, the circulation pump should feed back to the cold water inlet of the VAT with a check valve.

Can someone give me information on whether the installation with the circulation pump is correct like this?

For my understanding (reflects the manufacturer's documentation), the circulation would have to return to the cold supply of the thermo-mixer, since this fully sets to cold with the circulation and the associated temperature increase of the hot water connection. The hot water inlet of the VTA322 would then presumably have to be completely shut off by the mixer? Thus, the circulation pump would have to work against the resistance or fully against the closed mixer.

Since cold cannot flow in (no drain, no supply without pressure increase), it probably shuts off the hot water completely.
