Hello everyone,
we are currently planning a single-family house and have been working with the construction company for some time now - to be precise, the contract has already been signed.
It is a three-gable house with an extension for the vestibule, guest toilet, and a garage. The entire extension has an area of approx. 53m². Today we received a call from the construction company stating that there is a regulation that flat-roofed buildings or extensions may have a maximum of 50m².
The problem is not to make the extension a bit smaller (the garage could be a bit smaller), but next to the garage there should also be a carport, which would belong to these 50m².
The construction company now suggests keeping the vestibule and guest toilet flat-roofed but to make a "pitched roof" on the garage and is asking for 9000 euros for this.
I would now like to know whether this is something that actually falls under our responsibility, or whether the construction company should have checked everything beforehand.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Best regards
Benjamin
