Hello, the brainstorming for our single-family house continues and we have reached this floor plan which is now to be optimized. The plot is 17m wide and flat. The knee wall should be 1m high. What do you think? We like the "old-fashioned" solution and therefore no plan with an open kitchen/living area. The niche next to the front door should get a sliding door and serve as a wardrobe. It is important to me that shoes, jackets, etc. are not visible. The office on the ground floor should be used as a large storage room. The house also has a basement with a boiler room, etc. There will also be a small study in the basement. This is okay for our purposes since it is only rarely used. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the basement right now. The bedroom could be a bit bigger. But for that, the children's rooms are nice and large. And one day the children will move out and then you have a larger bedroom. Basically, I am satisfied with the solution, but I am wondering whether the staircase should rather be "inside"? With the current solution, you always have to go through the "dirty area" by the front door to get to the upper floor. Or do you think that is not so bad? Do you notice any other "major mistake"? I hope my information is sufficient. Otherwise, just ask. I hope I, as a woman who is not so skilled in technical matters, can then answer. Best regards
