Good evening everyone!

We have a recessed wall niche in the shower. We would like to illuminate it with an LED strip.

Have you ever done that? I found some kind of system from "Schl....ter". Is it any good or can you put something together yourself just as well to possibly save a bit on the price here?

Regards and thanks!

We have also planned a lit shower niche and unfortunately dealt with the implementation too late. We had not planned for the transformer to remain accessible. Do you have a place for an access panel? I also came across the Schlüter product. It didn’t look bad to me. What bothers me is that it plugs into a socket. We hadn’t planned for that either, but just to have lamp cables installed. If you need an alternative: we have picked out spots that require about a 35mm drill hole. A mini transformer fits through that. This way we avoid the access panel.

Hey! Thanks for the opinion. Yes, we can get the transformer accessible underneath, but we really had to think about that too. Which spots and which transformer have you installed?
