Ikea Utrusta Pressure Door Opener on Metod Drawers Experiences

Hello dear community, I have a new Metod kitchen made exclusively of drawer units. For this, we bought push-to-open mechanisms because I find the fronts nicer that way. Unfortunately, the Utrusta thing only fits the large drawer under the sink. I can’t find any installation instructions for drawers on Ikea’s site (that already made me think). Has anyone ever asked Ikea if these only work with large drawers? An alternative would be the Blankett handle, which unfortunately does not close flush with the fronts. That looks pretty bad (I took one as a sample and placed it on). Best regards, Eva

Hello, the push-to-open mechanisms are not intended for drawers. The manufacturers of the slides offer special rails for push-to-open, which are not available from IKEA. Do I understand correctly that the problem is that there is no space for installation with 10 cm high drawers? If there is no space, you cannot create any. Maybe you will find a suitable handle on the sites of Schwinn, Hettich, Siro...

Hello and thank you for your response. Unfortunately, there is no space with the 20 cm drawers either, as the cover piece of the intermediate strut is in the way on the side. But it also looks bad sometimes having a handle and sometimes not. I will now google the push-to-open mechanisms from other manufacturers... Maybe these are slimmer and then it would fit.
