Hello everyone,

new here and straight to a question...
I am currently assembling my new Trysil bed and am stuck at the point where you have to decide whether to mount the rail, on which the slatted frame is supposed to lie, at the top or bottom. I have a Malvik mattress here (14cm high) and a Sultan Lovund slatted frame. Judging by the mattress height (and this is also how it is shown in the instructions) I would mount the rail at the top. However, the slatted frame seems so high to me that I think I have to attach the rail at the bottom.
Has anyone already assembled this combination? Or any experience whether a high slatted frame really affects where you have to attach the rails?

Many thanks in advance for the answers and have a nice weekend,
Suzy

Hello, just measure the height of the Sultan and the distance from the rail to the edge of the frame. If at least 4 cm remain free above the Sultan, I would mount it at the top, otherwise rather at the bottom.

Hello,

thank you very much for the response! Since the wooden slat frame is about 7.5cm high, and the distance from the high rail to the frame edge was also only about 7.5cm, I have now taken the lower rail. How it will feel sleeping on it, I will only know tomorrow morning, but it definitely looks right!

Thanks again, a really great forum!
