Hello,

I am currently struggling with a telescopic rod of the Stolmen system:

The upper element of the telescopic rod, meaning the rod with the smaller diameter, which normally screws into the thicker rod, is stuck:

The rod can be turned, in both directions (left/right) any number of times, but I cannot push the rod further into the thicker rod or pull it out (up/down) => The height of the entire rod cannot be adjusted. Now I have the problem that the entire rod is too long for the new installation location and it cannot be shortened!

What can I do about this?

Hope someone can help me, I wanted to finish it today.

Thanks Regards

Anni

A strong hit with the rubber mallet should do the trick.

Hello, thanks for the reply!

Hit the rod so hard that they shift into each other by force? Unfortunately, it didn't work!

I don't have a rubber mallet, but I used a regular one, which I hit on a compact piece of wood placed on the rod. That should have the same effect in the end, right?

Additional question:
At the top end of this Stolmen rod, there is this plastic end piece for attaching it to the ceiling. Can you get this anywhere as a spare part?

You can try to unscrew the rods completely and then somehow get the clamping piece out of the tube.

Spare parts are available through customer service, the part number is in the assembly instructions.

STOLMEN will not be available for much longer.

Thanks for the tip.

I have now placed an order using the spare parts form.

However, they also wanted a receipt number, which I no longer have. The thing is quite old.

Let's see if it works.
