Ikea Sävern shower curtain rod

Hello,

we bought a shower curtain rod "Sävern" at Ikea yesterday.
The instructions make it look like you just have to pull it apart and wedge it between the walls.
Unfortunately, the rod cannot be pulled apart. Turning it hasn't helped so far either.
Does anyone have a tip for us??

It has been taken care of. She did undress after all.

Had the same problem. The solution was, as reluctantly as I admit, brute force. At least it requires significantly more effort than the product description ("simple") suggests. Caution: do not pull the rod too far apart, but gradually approach the necessary length.
