IKEA PAX sliding doors: backing panels: Färvik?

first of all, a warm hello - my first post.

I would appreciate some advice on the Pax sliding doors - has anyone recently assembled them? I am currently putting together a PAX for us, and I find the Sekken frosted glass panels nice, but they are simply transparent. Is it possible to clamp or place something behind them that looks tidy and is then opaque? Cardboard, wallpaper, foil. I think you really have to back almost the entire panel so that it holds and doesn’t look messy. An alternative would be completely custom panels. If you have the measurements, that should work, I assume?

Hello, if it is not supposed to be translucent, why don't you take the MEHAMN, AULI, Färvik, UGGDAL, ILSENG or INFJORDEN panels?

because I find the frosted glass quite nice, especially if something white (possibly with a pattern?) is behind it. On the other hand, the Innfjorden costs a casual 280€ more than the Sekken, which is noticeable with two cabinets. If this can be solved by simply clamping a piece of cardboard behind, that would be ideal!

I have never assembled a door like this before, but I suspect that there is not enough space between the glass and the frame to wedge anything in between. You could paint the glass.

Hi Psychod, you can stick the frost glass panes with a thin self-adhesive film before assembly. The panes are slid into the profile and then fixed with short rubber wedges. I think there should be no problems. Regards Mr. Rossi
