IKEA Medelstor 45cm Dishwasher?

Hello,

due to structural reasons, only a 45cm dishwasher fits for me. It must be positioned at the edge, so the countertop needs to be able to rest there. A freestanding one is also problematic because otherwise my workspace effectively disappears. Since Ikea only offers one and there are very few user experiences available about it, I am now turning to you in the hope of getting answers to two questions.

1) Has anyone installed the medelstor and can share their experience?

2) The height must be 880mm, if I understood correctly based on the 60cm dishwashers. Are there any alternatives? Because so far I have not found any; they were all too low. Whether undercounter, fully integrated, or semi-integrated doesn’t really matter to me.

3) And a bonus question: Is there any reason against using the VINDIG extractor hood in recirculation mode?

Almost forgot, the countertop must not rest on the dishwasher. You have to build a support panel or, if there is a wall next to it, attach a support on the wall on which the countertop rests-

Assuming I take the Medelstor: Since the room has a very wide L-shape and the kitchen protrudes a bit, I need an end panel at the very edge anyway. Is that sufficient as a support panel? Or does the Medelstor already come with one? Or rather, what exactly is a support panel? I'm hearing this for the first time today. After a bit of googling, I just imagine it as a piece of wood that supports the countertop so that it doesn't rest on the dishwasher. Attaching it to the wall is not an option, as the wall is tiled there and unfortunately the apartment doesn't belong to me.

Yes, it has to be cut to fit.

But the top cover cannot be attached to the dishwasher. At least I wouldn't know how.
