Ikea Malm bed headboard drill holes

Hello,

the screws that hold the middle bar in place on the headboard of my Malm bed have been torn out. Therefore, I cannot use the existing drill holes.

Is it possible to purchase the headboard separately?

Or would it perhaps be possible to turn the headboard 180 degrees and manually drill the corresponding holes (middle bar side parts) for the screws?

Hello, you cannot buy the headboard separately. If it doesn't matter how the other side looks, you can drill through the holes and use threaded screws with [karosseriescheiben] and nuts.

That sounds like a good idea. The back of the headboard is against the wall, so the back side is not important.
