Hello everyone,
we have installed an IKEA siphon (Lillviken) in our new kitchen as shown in the attachment. At point (1) the outlet for the small basin of a HÄLLVIKEN sink is connected as well as the dishwasher waste water. At point (2) the outlet of the main basin is connected.
We now have the problem that water is backing up in the main basin. As soon as we slightly loosen the connection to the waste pipe (4), the water drains immediately. All pipes are clear; it looks like a vacuum is forming and therefore the water does not drain. However, this should actually be prevented by the (Conel) air admittance valve (5).
Currently, we assume that the connector (3) is causing problems. Has anyone had similar experiences and knows what can be done? Thanks in advance!
