Hello,
I bought the Hopen bed and in January a slatted frame from Aldi.
Unfortunately, the slatted frame seems a bit too small in length and width.
It doesn’t fail in width, but it’s not sitting perfectly and that’s probably why it squeaks.
Does anyone have a good tip on how to best fix it?? (Angle bracket or rather wooden blocks??? or something completely different?)
I would be very happy about ideas.

Best regards

I'm not from the bedroom department, but to my knowledge only the slatted frame from IKEA fits into IKEA beds.

As far as I have read, the width fits, only the length doesn't fit, right? And the slatted frame doesn't fall down either. Now I work in the bedroom department and can say that even our slatted frames don't fit exactly in length, but leave a few centimeters free. Against the squeaking, you could maybe try using very simple thin felt (available at hardware stores, something like the felt mats in drawers). And in general, as far as I know, in a 140 cm wide bed, any 140 cm slatted frame should fit due to competition, etc.

Hi, thanks for your ideas! The slatted frame is probably just a bit too short in width as well. It only rests on the metal bar of the bed on one side by 1-2 mm. I was maybe thinking of buying a piece of wood and then connecting the slatted frame with it! Good idea?????

Hello, I also have the HOPEN bed and the Aldi slatted frame and I have the same problem. Totally annoying. I’ve now thought about simply screwing on brackets on which the slatted frame can then lie. Does anyone else have another idea?

So I just screwed two wooden slats under the two long sides of the slatted frame and it works very well :) it wasn’t expensive either, about 1 euro per wooden slat.

So good luck :)
