IKEA GRUNDTAL cabinet lighting, which screws are recommended?

this is about the following lighting:

Grundtal cabinet lighting, stainless steel
Article number: 001.298.71

As usual, no fittings are included in the delivery.

1. Which screws can you recommend for mounting on a Billy shelf? The board has a thickness of about 18mm.
2. Should this rail device be installed in any case or only if an edge (door) is in the way?

1. Panhead 12-15 mm long, diameter 3-4 mm - take the lamp and try what fits best in the holes. 2. Only necessary if the installation situation or the aesthetics require it.
