Ikea Galant desk electric, leg defective

Hello everyone,

I bought a used galant desk (electrically height adjustable). It broke immediately during the first attempts to adjust the height. The right leg seems to be somehow stuck. When lowering the desk, one of the tubes of the right leg slid over the black screw of the leg extension. Unfortunately, I have no idea what this black screw is good for? Is it supposed to limit the lowering of the desk? When I took a closer look at the desk and laid it on the tabletop, a black plastic part came out of the desk leg right away. I think one leg is definitely broken. Do you know if it is possible to get a single leg as a spare part? Or maybe one of you has a broken one and can offer me a leg?

I would really appreciate any advice.

PS: The attempt to return the desk unfortunately failed.

Remove the leg and take it to the customer service desk at the next Ikea? Either it works or it doesn’t.
