Hello everyone first of all!
I just registered and hope you can help me...!
I just got a call from my husband who is assembling our Faktum kitchen in our new house (or rather, supposed to assemble it...)
His problem now is: Why do we have panels with a height of 76 cm when the wall cabinets are only 70 cm high???? I couldn't explain it to him at first either, I initially thought it was a wrong delivery and then checked on the Ikea website and found out that the panels for wall cabinets are always a bit longer than the cabinets they go on top of...
Can someone please clarify this for me?? Do the panels have to be cut to size?? At the moment, I really don't see the point of making panels 6 cm longer than the corresponding cabinet
With the base cabinets, it fits perfectly?

Hope you can help us ;)

Best regards, hogi6478

Hello the cover panels are longer on the wall cabinets so that a lighting can be mounted on the underside of the carcass and covered at the front with a decorative strip, e.g. "Perfekt Dekorleiste. If you do not want or need this, you have to shorten them by 6 cm (cutting surface facing up) I hope I could help best regards bergpriv :)
