Hello Ikea fans. I recently had furniture delivered from IKEA and now there are problems. :( It would be nice if someone with similar problems could perhaps give me some advice.
First, I bought the Aspelung bed with Sultan Lödingen, Sultan Elsfjord, and Skorva midbeam. We strictly followed the instructions. Because I wanted the mattress higher, we installed the metal pieces on which the slatted frame rests, as well as the midbeam, according to the instructions. The slatted frame was also quickly assembled. Unfortunately, when you lie down on the bed, the slatted frame does not spring or provide support at all. It simply bends through and slams onto the midbeam. At the height of the hips, the slatted frame has a wooden crossbar to stabilize the frame of the slatted frame. That also crashes onto the midbeam and is then the hardest and highest point in my bed. It is uncomfortable to sleep on the bed. My back is not feeling well again. In the IKEA store, I could only test the mattress on a single bed Malm. Of course, there was no midbeam in the middle there. Weight-wise ( :) ) I weigh 85 kg at 1.75 m. I think that should not be a problem for the Lödingen. But something is definitely not working with the slatted frame right now. After all, the store advertised that the mattress and slatted frame provide the right support for my body.
Someone from IKEA is coming by next week, but they think it is the mattress. However, it was okay in the store, only there was no double bed with a midbeam to test. I rather think it is the slatted frame.
2. Parts of my Pax wardrobe were damaged during delivery. There are some dents that are visible. The thin cardboard box could not protect the furniture parts. IKEA only offered me 30 euros compensation, but my delivery costs were 77 euros. 30 euros seems a bit little to me, considering what costs they would incur to pick up the item and deliver a new one.
Thank you very much for your advice. Best regards B. How does the exchange of delivered furniture work at IKEA if it was damaged during delivery?
