Hello forum,

in my despair I ended up here and hope for your help.
Assembling the large Billy cabinet was a piece of cake, but now I just can’t get on with the doors.

The Byom wooden doors are to be installed at the bottom and the Byom display doors at the top. So far, so good.
Now here’s the thing:
both levels overlap by about 0.5 cm!

For example, if I were to set the display door one hinge hole higher, the door would no longer be flush with the Billy but protrude. Or if I only moved the wooden doors down by one hinge hole, they would no longer be flush with the Billy either.
No matter whether you move the upper or the lower doors, the gap between the doors would then be 2 cm too big.

A bit complicated to describe... can someone still help me?
I am definitely grateful for any answer.

By the way: of course I tried to adjust the doors by loosening the screws, as the instructions say.
Greetings
Tatjana

According to Ikea, it should not be possible to install the half-height doors at the top and bottom. We managed by drilling the holes for the lower doors ourselves.

Hello Knorki,

thank you very much for the quick response.

Oh, that can't be true. Well, if that's the case, I'll drill the holes as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, the afternoon is saved.
