Ikea Domsjö sink in Metod, how tightly should the screws be tightened?

Hello everyone,

I bought the domsjö single sink in the countertop version.

It is secured to the base cabinet with two toggle bolts and metal brackets. When tightening, the very first slight contact of the toggle bolt (or its teeth) with the ceramic made a pretty nasty grinding noise, which is why I am afraid to tighten it seriously, and the sink wobbles slightly in the cabinet.

Therefore my question to you: how tight can I fasten these screws without breaking the basin?

Regards, Markus

Hello, have you ever felt the hole to see if there are any gears that were grinding? Since no torque is specified, you can only tighten by / with feel. If the cymbal wobbles, then place something suitable at 1-2 spots underneath beforehand.

Loosened the sink once more and tightened it again. The second time, there was no more grinding, and the sink fits snugly. No idea what was wrong before.
