Hi,

I’ve seen the Dignitet steel cable several times in the new catalog and online at Ikea: They screw this, I think it’s called Dignitet - bracket, into the ceiling and then attach a steel cable to it. And to this steel cable, a long curtain, so you can use it to separate a corner in the room or even divide a whole room. Does anyone have this? Does it really work or is it not very stable, such a thin cable? Does it maybe even easily pull the anchor out of the ceiling? Basically, I think it’s a great idea, but who knows if I’ll end up having more trouble than pleasure with it. Is it possible to span even longer distances over 2m with it, or should it only be used for very short distances at most?

That's what it's made for...

Of course the Dignitet steel cable works, but better ask about the load so that the cable doesn't tear out of the anchor. I mean the hex socket screws (with which the Dignitet steel cable is attached). I don't know those.
