I purchased the Broder shelf with the L-foot variant at Ikea, with the following combinations: 41 cm foot length, plus 36.5 cm x 79 cm metal shelves.
The feet came with two crossbars for sliding together, which are placed above and below between the support bars and can be slid into each other so that the shelf width can be precisely adjusted.
Unfortunately, even at the narrowest setting, the shelf is too wide to hold my shelves firmly on both sides.
What am I doing wrong?

In the Broder buying guides, it nowhere says that the 79 cm is too narrow for the L-foot variant or anything like that... am I mistaken?
Thanks!

OK, problem solved myself: I had swapped the consoles, so left to right and vice versa, so they pointed outward instead of inward to hold the board. PS: The shelf is very difficult to transport once assembled, so it's best to set it up directly at the destination! :)
