Hello Ikea fans,

I am completely desperate right now....!!! After we successfully assembled the Besta storage bench, we just can't manage to install the Inreda full extension drawers correctly with the Besta tofta drawer fronts. I have been trying different variations again and again all morning but nothing fits. I cannot install the drawer front so that it aligns with the bottom edge of the cabinet. Either it sticks out at the bottom or you see the bottom frame. On top of that, the shelves also do not align with the drawer. Could it be that I have the wrong parts, or am I just too dumb????

Please, please help me before I throw myself or the storage bench with drawers out the window

Best regards from a desperate and frustrated Marijo

A few photos and more precise details (Besta with which height, 16 or 26 cm Inreda) could help with solving the problem.

Hello Marijo,

I just built the same bank with full extracts.
My son had mounted the front the wrong way around. So the slots of the front belong at the bottom (this is probably for the drawers with the thin bottoms and something like this always happens to us once, because our Ikea furniture always wants to be screwed together twice).
At the bottom, the Töfta front fits flush; the shelf that divides everything is visible in our case (there are receivers and xbox on it), but you can also place the shelves one hole lower, then the front protrudes slightly. I didn't find that so great, but it's a matter of taste. I also think you should be able to see the shelf since it is a "shelf compartment."
I find it a bit annoying that when you stand directly in front of it, you can look into the drawer.
For organization fanatics like me, a real obstacle haha... no more rummaging in the drawer and all that.

Regards
Andrea

Hello Andrea,

Do you have the shelves flush at the front inside the cabinet? It sounds to me as if you placed them on the normal brackets, leaving a gap at the front. We made the same mistake at first and only later saw the special brackets that bring the shelf forward, so that the shelves are flush with the cabinet at the front.

We have already mounted the panels in both directions but they are never flush with the bottom edge of the cabinet. If I have time later, I will upload pictures.

Best regards
Marijo

I have now uploaded a few pictures and hope you can see them!? I am not very familiar with this place and it is also not so easy from the phone. It would be nice if someone could give me a quick feedback whether you have access to the pictures!

THANK YOU

The pictures can be seen. It would have been good to have a photo of the rails with the drawer removed. This protrusion is somewhat strange. It is not much, but probably too much to compensate with the adjusting nuts. Measure the distances between the holes. From the underside of the carcass, all holes should have a spacing that is an integer multiple of 32 mm.
