Hello, Variant 2 is correct (see instruction drawer carcass p. 9). Please check the attachment of the fronts again, I suspect that you need to rotate them 180°. The marking in the middle of the inside of the front must point towards the bottom of the drawer. Regards, IKEA-Friend
