Hello everyone,
I’m currently in the process of moving and setting up my new bathroom. Somehow, I’m still lacking ideas for a sensible and harmonious design.
Apart from the toilet, I’m not really restricted in the placement of the bathtub, shower, and washbasin.
The room that was previously used as a storage room measures 3.85m x 2.77m. At the moment, there is still a window installed, which I want to replace with a patio door.
Later, this should serve as the access to the covered terrace where the sauna and whirlpool will be located ;).
Originally, I thought of a walk-in shower with glass walls measuring 1.20m x 0.90m (lots of glass means a lot of cleaning ). Meanwhile, I prefer a half-walled corner shower. I have also moved away from a corner bathtub because it takes up too much space and the water consumption for filling it is too high.
Please have a look at the attached picture and tell me what you would do differently or improve.
From a drainage perspective, the toilet would be better placed on the left by the wall. However, I’m not exactly sure what I would then do with the bathtub.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards, Manfred

I don't understand... where would the sink be best placed? Draw in where it fits best (drain) and leave out small furniture and rugs... maybe someone will get an idea :D

Ok, I'll leave out the carpets ;).
On this side, the toilet connection for the drain would be easier to install.

Generally, the washbasin with mirror is actually placed next to the window.
So preferably where the toilet is located in variant 2. However, with a covered terrace that is also supposed to be converted into a sauna (if that is even possible), this probably means no natural light for the bathroom. Then the location wouldn't matter again.

What I noticed is that the walls of the shower in both variants are very narrow.
I could imagine that there will be problems there.
If the walls need to be wider, in variant 2, for example, the space for the toilet will be too tight.

Otherwise, you can generally work well with partition walls in the bathrooms and pull the fixtures away from the wall into the room. I personally like that very much.

There is, for example, the well-known T-shape with shower and toilet under the horizontal bar of the T and washbasin or tub above the T.
The prerequisite for this is a certain size of the bathroom.

Since we don't have a huge bathroom and didn't want to place everything along the walls all around, we have considered how to still sensibly pull some of the fixtures into the room without having to use expensive custom shapes.
We have now planned a 90x150 cm shower open to the front in a corner.
Along its length, a 1.00 m high and 1.50 m long wall will be built as a partition.
On the other side of this wall, the bathtub will then be constructed. Since there is a shaft going down in the corner of the shower, the length should also fit with the bathtub.
On top of the partition wall, a glass pane will be installed so that natural light can still enter the shower while the splash guard is guaranteed.

Thank you Musketier for your answer.
The terrace has a glass roof. Thus, during the day enough light comes in so that the light does not have to be turned on.

I had the idea with the T-walls as well. Only I think the bathroom with 2.77x3.85 is a bit too small for that.

I quickly designed with a bathroom planner what you described to me.
Do you think it is something like this, as in the attachment?
