Hello everyone,

my front door does not close properly, so I have to apply force to lock it. It is not possible to open it just by turning the key; I always have to pull it towards me.
I have now noticed that the door fits tightly against the frame at the bottom, but not at the top.
The door does not rub or hit anything, and it fits into the lock without any problems; it is only about locking it. I hope the gap can be seen in the pictures.
What do I need to adjust so that it fits properly at the top as well?

Thank you very much and best regards!

Hello,

I assume that it is property and a "real" front door? I would personally have it done. Best by the company that installed the door. How long ago was that or has it "always been like this"? (Topic warranty / guarantee)

Have it done, since door hinges / hinges on front doors are usually covered and may be difficult for a layperson to remove without damage.

If "only" an apartment door and rented: contact the landlord

It is only the apartment door. Sorry, I think I expressed myself incorrectly and I am the owner.

I would first check the strike plate to see where it is sticking. If necessary, adjustments can also be made here right away.

Unfortunately not. The strike plates cannot be adjusted. If those are the ones you mean. It is a door from Bauhaus.
