How to leave unused high-voltage cable buried in the ground?

I have already had a heavy-duty power cable installed underground to the parking space in the new building in wise foresight, which I do not need in the medium term.

Currently, the cable is just sticking out of the ground; I would prefer to bury it in the ground until the time I need it and remove the fuse for this cable so that the children don't get any silly ideas.
