Hello,

in our offer, we have the roof tiles Creaton Magnun Anthracite listed.
I have now tried to find out which quality segment they come from.
With only relative success.

I found 2-3 reviews where something happened, but 2-3 out of X-thousands is not that many.
Google Shopping results show prices around 2€ per piece.

As a comparison, I tried to use the tiles from an old competitor's offer.
Röben Monza for about 1€ per piece and Creaton Titania for just over 2€ per piece.

Over the weekend, we want to visit one or two building material dealers and get a feel for it.
But they can also tell me a lot.

What are your criteria for recognizing good tiles?
How are the price segments divided?
Who has consciously decided on certain tiles, what were the reasons, and what is the conclusion by now?

Thank you very much.

We have glazed the Creaton Magnum in black. We googled for glazed clay roof tiles. Nothing else was ever an option. For me, the appearance was important, meaning the tile shape and how the entire roof then looks with it. Ultimately, of course, also the additional cost from the construction company compared to the standard concrete roof tile. We have nothing negative to report and have now used the same tiles for our garage as well.

Are there really still "good" and "bad"?

take a look at Ziegeldach.de
there you will find information about which DIN standards the tiles must meet.

Best regards

I have an acquaintance who works in a construction ceramics company and also occasionally acts as an expert for building damages in the areas of clinker facades and roof coverings. He said that the Röben roof tiles do not have good quality and there are often material defects and damages. He was very convinced by Creaton. Here, since last week, the Creaton Futura has been installed on it.

ok, that sounds more pro Creaton.

We were at a building materials dealer the other day, who used to have Creaton, but according to their own statement switched to Alegra about 15 years ago because major quality problems had occurred. Even today, roofers reportedly still report chipping caused by frost there, and the company often puts up resistance in warranty cases. On the other hand, one has to assume that they are trying to sell their product. Besides, that was already 15 years ago.

So I would rather trust your reports.
