Hello,

can someone help me and tell me how to calculate the buildable area? Everyone tells me something different.
So far, we have always been told that it consists of:
- House (ground floor area)
- Garage
- Terrace
- Driveway
- and paths around the house (if desired)

Now we have been told that the driveway is not included because it belongs to the infiltration area.

This is important for us because the municipality only allows a factor of
0.25 for the house and 50% of that for ancillary areas. So not very much.

Thank you very much!

Hello Go to the responsible building authority... this varies depending on the federal state.. but the colleagues there will be able to give you the exact information. Basically, the house counts.... possibly also garages and outbuildings.. but often only if they are larger than.... The courtyard areas and paths usually do not count, but possibly for the fees over the paved areas (rainwater drainage into the public sewer system). I simply inquire at the local authorities.
