How do I get rid of carpet remnants?

Hello everyone, I tore out the carpet in one room, underneath was an old PVC floor that has to stay. Now there are lots of carpet residues on the floor and they can only be removed with a scraper. But if I have to scrape everything away, it will take weeks; besides, it is very connected to the PVC, what can I do?

Hi, you can rent a machine that removes it from the floor. But if the old PVC underneath is not to be damaged, then it will not be feasible. You can try using a hairdryer, it loosens the residue and then you can carefully scrape it off the floor with a spatula. Good luck with that!!

Hello, try using the hairdryer, if you warm the residue with the hairdryer it comes off more easily. It does not damage the surface underneath and you don’t have to scrape so much. But I can only wish you that it goes away completely because that is a nasty problem.

The crucial question is, ---is the TEBO glued, fixed, or loosely laid? If only fixed or loosely laid, then the problem might possibly be solved with warm water and some dish soap. If glued, I would contact my liability insurance or pray. :D:eek::(

I just experienced that too and warmed these carpet remnants with a hairdryer. Then removed them with an electric scraper. At the beginning I was a bit careful, but it went quite well and nothing got scratched.
