Our building area is naturally quite special due to the slope, especially regarding the requirements. Therefore, I personally find it all the more important to coordinate or at least try to do so. I can only speak for myself, but before submitting a planning application to the building authority, every immediate neighbor knew my plan and I knew the neighbor's plan. And honestly, if anything would have negatively affected my price/performance ratio, I would have adjusted my plan accordingly.
The egos of only-child individuals have now reached the point where one wants to dictate to the other not to build a carport but a garage, because his planned garage might suffer damage over time due to the neighbor’s directly adjacent carport "könnte". Yes, yes, my dear neighbor will not have it easy with his left neighbor.
