Hello dear community,
I read a lot about wipe/vacuum robots. Of course, it would be nice to come home and everything is clean.

Who has such a thing and what is good or where is the money not worth it. It will surely be a balancing act because of advertising and so on. But maybe it is a topic that interests people in general. My girlfriend has a child who is allergic to house dust. Huge time commitment! Can such a guy help?

I/we have had a vacuum robot from iRobot for years. In between, we upgraded to a newer model. I am totally impressed by it; they vacuum really well. Only a model with a camera will not come into our house because of the spying risk. I have not had a vacuum that also mops at the same time. I am rather skeptical about combination products. Especially because vacuuming has to be done every day, but mopping does not.

...I have a question about that too, is a robot vacuum suitable when small children are playing in the room?

Never again without my vacuum robot! You will come to love it and only then realize how much dust and dirt it picks up every day!

I would do without a mopping robot. When mopping, you often rinse the cloth, etc. How is the robot supposed to do that? In other words, it basically just spreads the dirt around...

We also have [IRobot]. I can only recommend it. But this is surely also a matter of belief again, like Apple vs. Android.

There is no "best" robot vacuum. It has to fit the apartment/furnishing. I have been using robot vacuums for over 14 years. The advantage is that it can vacuum every day. Swivel chairs are bad. Most robot vacuums have problems here. Of course, no toys should be lying around and shoelaces should be tied inside the shoes... iRobot/roomba is good but also expensive. Alternatively Neato.

Can recommend Xiaomi. In use with us for 2.5 years. For example, I propped up the couch with hockey pucks so the vacuum can nicely go underneath. We always put the chairs up, although they are not cantilever chairs. We don't want to be without it anymore, but we are also curious how it will be with a child someday.
