Hello dear forum,

you have already been able to help me. Therefore, here is another question regarding the house construction contract:
Specifically, I am concerned with a prefabricated house provider (maybe this can also be applied to others).
I am not quite clear yet on the individual steps. Starting with the consultation with a suitable offer, but how does it proceed from there and when should one sign a contract, or when do I have a final (although rather provisional, since things always change – at least that’s the general understanding) house price?
It would be great if you could share your experiences on this, or what one should especially pay attention to.
For example, I’m thinking of:
- when is the selection of fittings (before or after signing the contract)
- when is the best time to sign the contract
- what should explicitly be included in the contract? Everything that is not described in detail in the construction service description?
Looking forward to lively responses

Best regards
Patrick

Do you already have a property with an appraisal? Have you had the contract checked and feel confident? Is the financing secure?

All questions answered yes – then you can sign.

Everything that concerns the company itself, e.g. sampling and its costs, you must inquire with them.
