Hello,
the last utility provider (electricity) was here and installed the house connection. In doing so, he extended the underground cable and pulled it into the house.
When asked whether the underground cable should be additionally protected with a protective conduit, he said that was not necessary. I should refill the lines with sand and then backfill the trench normally with gravel.
Only the waterworks wrapped their PE pipe with a cheap corrugated pipe.
Is that no longer necessary nowadays? The cables and pipes that go directly from the ground into the trench are not even surrounded by sand.
I am a bit afraid to close the trench like this, and later a pipe might get damaged and everything would have to be dug up again.
