Hello everyone,

I have noticed that out of the 65° in the kettle, only 40° arrive in the bathtub, meaning around 40% is lost over a distance of 10 meters. I would like to reduce the heat loss of the hot water pipe between the heating system and the bathroom to as close to 0 as possible. The pipe is insulated with both foam and glass wool around the foam. Is there insulation for hot water pipes that significantly limits the loss? I would like to keep the temperature setting as is due to bacteria and then cool down to the desired temperature with cold water while bathing.

Measured at the hot water connection directly or behind a mixing temperature?

I suspect the latter and either with max limitation or always some water is mixed.

Or just for fun, turn off the cold water in the bathroom; and see if the temperature is the same

Hello,

thank you very much for the answers. No cold water is added to the hot water.
