Hello everyone,

I would need your opinions.

We are currently renovating a house from 1986 and want to retrofit roller shutters on some windows (burglary protection and blackout possibility). On the outside of the windows, however, about 10cm of insulation is visible, meaning that if we were to use exterior mounted roller shutters, they would run along the facade and then there would be 10cm of space/air between the shutter and the window glass, right?

We don’t really want exterior mounted shutters because they would cover part of the top of the window and thus let in less light. Since the window openings aren’t very large anyway, we would like to avoid that.

What would you recommend?
