we are in the process of financing our house. amount around 400,000 euros.

the bank only provides offers by phone, since interest rates vary daily.

this despite the advisor saying that a certain flat rate (approx. 0.2%) was included, because the interest rate is already fixed at the current time, i.e. about 3 months in advance.

in my opinion, this is contradictory! or in other words, if the interest rate is fixed, they could also provide us with a written offer.

is it not customary to receive a written financing offer from a bank??

have a nice evening.

I only know this with written offers. These include the current interest rate and are usually valid for about 14 days. During this period, you need to gather the most important documents.

However, I am not familiar with a bank guaranteeing the interest rate in writing for 3 months with a traditional mortgage loan. But you could already sign a contract now. However, from then on, the free availability period starts.

So ours is also fixed in writing. We already had a model calculation in hand after the first financing discussion with the interest rate that was even guaranteed to us provided that a conclusion is reached in the near future.
