Hello dear house building forum,

I wanted to attach a metal rail about 5 cm wide and 74 cm long at 3 points on the cavity ceiling. I drilled into the ceiling and saw that I have about 4-5 cm of material before the cavity begins. The anchors need to withstand about 150 kg in tensile strength. Do you know which type of anchors I should use best?

Looking forward to your answers

Regards Tobias

Hello!

What "material" is your ceiling made of?

Not only the anchors, also the screws and the environment of your ceiling!

Edit: Every screw 150 kg?

The ceiling is a Kaiserdecke, I also saw thin reinforcement when I drilled. So concrete or stone :/

No, together

I personally would have some reservations about hanging 150kg on such a cavity ceiling, but then again, I am just an amateur. My recommendation for anchors is always the company Fischer. They also have special metal cavity anchors. The load table is hidden under Downloads.

sounds clearly like a swing or something similar. leave it be, dynamic forces arise which will definitely mean the end of the ceiling. even if it is statically fixed (like a lamp), it will be more than critical.
