hi,

since the roof tiles are not yet on, I had a nice view of the underlayment yesterday.
I discovered some holes here.
They are likely caused by nails... The size roughly fits.
As far as I have always understood, the underlayment is supposed to provide additional tightness to the roof and prevent water from above from entering the living space.
How are these spots sealed now? Are additional patches applied to them?
Is there anything else to consider when subsequently sealing the defects?
Thanks

best regards

I recently installed the underlay membrane on my house (mid-December) with a few helpers and professionals. Mine doesn’t have a single hole. The fewer holes, the better (obviously). Whether the underlay membrane is really necessary depends on the installed covering and the pitch; the manufacturer provides that information. If I were you, I would take photos and also talk to the site foreman of the company to see if this is okay or if it will be corrected.
