Hello forum community,

Biggggg problem!!!! I always thought our vestibule would be a heated room, but now the energy consultant says the wall is too thin and my husband says he knew from the start that it wouldn’t be heated!!!
But I would like it! What speaks for it? What speaks against it? I think we could easily change the wall thickness, but am I really being that picky? If it’s -15 degrees outside, how cold will the vestibule be if you only install a glass door (as my husband wants) and the proper entrance door only on the inside!!!

What do you think about the plans otherwise?? Well, we won’t change anything anyway because we find it perfect as it is except maybe the vestibule. But I would still be interested in your opinion,…

Best regards

Hello,

In the plans, the wall thicknesses look the same – what exactly does your consultant mean? And why do you absolutely want to heat a "vestibule"? I would even skip the first door

Kind regards

So outside, the wall currently has 24... This will definitely become a 36 now. I want that because otherwise you are standing right inside the house from outside, and when I think about the children jumping in with dripping wet snow suits and soaking the wooden floor!!! Oh my God... That’s not acceptable at all, but I can’t do that to my children or the visitors, that they have to take off their shoes in the cold vestibule in front of the house in freezing cold and then leave them there!!
