Hello,
a perhaps somewhat naive question: What information does the heating engineer need in advance - aside from the desired heating system? I have floor plans and of course information about the wall / insulation / materials. Is that enough for now? Thanks for the feedback.

That should be enough. If it's good, it calculates the heating load based on your information. It probably doesn't do that and installs based on intuition.

What do you mean by desired heating system?
Type: e.g. gas condensing boiler
Brand: Bosch heating system, type XY, Z kilowatts

As a rule, the sanitary manufacturers they cooperate with. I would leave the specification of a specific device to the company.

In addition to the documents you mentioned, I also provided the Energy Saving Ordinance calculation. This allowed him to determine the appropriate heating load and size the solar system.

Otherwise, he needs to know where everything should go, etc.

Should heating also handle sanitary installations? Then, for example, think about outdoor taps; they are often overlooked quickly.

@ I am still missing the energy saving ordinance calculation. The energy consultant does that, if I understand correctly?

When it comes to a new building including new heating surfaces, you can forget the energy saving ordinance calculation for that. Then, if you want to do it properly, only a room-specific heat load calculation counts, according to which the underfloor heating is also designed.

maybe a silly question, but if I have the room-by-room heating load calculation done by an engineer/expert/technical office, then I simply add up the individual heating loads of the respective rooms and have the heating load of the building, right?
