Hello everyone,

with the ever-increasing energy prices, I have recently been looking into ways to counteract this. In doing so, I came across automatic heating controls - for example the "MAX!" system from the manufacturer EQ3 (found at Conrad). However, you don’t only read good things about it, and although I have some technical understanding, I am definitely not an expert.

Does anyone have experience with something like this? Many of the negative reports I have read were quite old, so it could also be “banana ware” that has since “ripened.”

Does anyone know of any other alternatives that might be more usable?

Thanks already for your answers!

There is also [Smarthome] from RWE. So far, I have only heard good things in connection with heating control...

Hello,
Regulation or control? An appropriate regulation can only partially compensate for existing deficiencies in planning/dimensioning (physical fundamentals) or at best "smooth" them out. The chances of success are rather marginal.
A demand-driven, sophisticated regulation is the "fine-tuning" of an otherwise well-planned system. Physical fundamentals can hardly be "overridden" with "electronic assistance" ;-)

Best regards
