Hello everyone,

my wife and I want to build a house. At the moment, the architect is working on the plans for the building application.
As a heating system and hot water supply, we would like a combination of a few modules.
First, we would like to install a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery.
The basis of the heating system should be an air-to-water heat pump, which should be sized so that it can handle the basic supply on its own. For hot water production in the summer and as support, we want to install solar collectors.
As the third component, we would like a tiled stove with a water jacket.

So, now we were at ZWS for a "Sondierungsgespräch" (We really just happened to walk past their office). There they told us that "it would be very difficult to combine so many modules and coordinate them with each other."

Is that true? What do you think? Are there really only a few providers who can do that?

Hello,
There have already been many negative reports about ZWS, but here they are right. Each WE (heat generator) has certain specific requirements to achieve the highest possible annual efficiency. These differ partly considerably. The overall efficiency of such conglomerates is very often dramatically poor, i.e., the whole thing is uneconomical.
Even with one heat generator, it often fails to achieve an attractive economic efficiency due to missing or insufficient dimensioning/calculation.

Practically any reasonably good installation company can do that, it will also get warm, but unfortunately it is usually not economical.

regards

Hello €uro,

thank you very much for your assessment. Also for the note regarding ZWS.

Is it then more the rule to have a heat generator!?
Is there then no connection of solar collectors to the heating...

I'm slowly getting completely lost...

Best regards

That is mostly the case, although solar thermal systems often have to be added for primary energy reasons. Everything exists, it’s just that the question of whether it makes sense is rarely sufficiently clarified. A simple consideration helps here: When demand is highest (winter), supply is simultaneously at its lowest! That means the investment is only conditionally usable! Then you are a suitable and willing target for sellers. ;) Best regards
