Hello fireplace/stove construction experts,

we would like to have a Spartherm fireplace insert installed. The generated heat should also be stored so that after the wood in the fireplace insert has burned out, the heat continues to be released. The offers we have received differ in material: fireclay brick lining or the use of Magnetherm stones/Magnetherm plates.

How do the materials differ regarding heat storage or is there another relevant difference?

Thank you very much

Hello,
The decisive factor here is rather the size of the after-heating surface.
The data sheets of the respective manufacturers are most helpful here. Besides the specific heat capacity, the temperature suitability plays a role. For example, different fireclay is used for lining the firebox than for the outer shell of the after-heating surfaces.

Best regards
