Heat pump - Heating screed even without an outdoor unit?

can a heat pump be operated to heat the screed without an outdoor unit? So basically just the heating rod, or do the indoor and outdoor units have to go together? The background is whether the (expensive) heating then becomes less expensive through the outdoor unit.

Yes, when the heat pump with the outdoor unit has been fully commissioned, it is significantly more economical. Without the outdoor unit, you can only heat with the electric heating element.

We heated 210 sqm of screed in April 2019 with an outdoor unit and construction power. We had to pay an additional €1300; before that, we had paid €65 in installments for 10 months.

so the 65€ installment as a higher advance payment to then pay an additional 1300€ at the end. Basically 1950€ construction power/heating-up phase?

1300 was probably not only for heating out. But with April temperatures, it can certainly be the case.

We heated out 340 sqm in August, September 2017 with a heating rod using 3400 kWh. So 10 kWh/sqm. Cost point 850€.
