Hello,
my husband and I bought a house a few months ago. A breakthrough was made in a load-bearing exterior wall by a company (however without an invoice) and an additional door with concrete lintels was installed. So far so good. We are satisfied. Recently, an acquaintance told me that this was an intervention in the structural integrity and that actually a structural engineer should have been commissioned and the building authorities should have been notified. That made me feel very uneasy. Is it possible that something might still happen now, for example the ceiling collapsing? Can this still be checked afterwards?
Thank you very much in advance for answers
